SPROUT Pediatric Occupational Therapy Services
I have 7 years of experience providing Occupational Therapy (OT) services in a variety of settings. On a pediatric outpatient basis, I have specialized in working with infants, toddlers and school-aged children with a variety of developmental needs, including dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, motor coordination disorder, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorder, Cerebral Palsy and Down’s Syndrome.
I have extensive knowledge and training using The Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S.) Approach to Feeding. This curriculum has provided me with the tools and education to evaluate and treat children with feeding disorders/difficulties. This multidisciplinary program integrates posture, sensory, motor, behavioral/learning, medical and nutritional factors to comprehensively assess and manage children of all ages with feeding and growth problems.
I am trained in the Handwriting Without Tears® program, which provides handwriting intervention to children from 4-16 years of age individually or in groups. The Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum draws from years of research to provide developmentally appropriate multisensory tools and individualized strategies for each classroom.
